FLAKSA knife sharpener is made
of porcelain and works well with
knives in all steel qualities. For best
result, always use a sharpener in a
harder material than the knife you
want to sharpener. A sharpener
made of porcelain will almost
never wear out, but the material
itself is brittle. For that reason, it is
important to handle the sharpener
carefully. If you drop it, it may
break.
How to use the sharpener
Hold the sharpener rmly in one
hand.
Place the heel of the knife (closest
to the handle) against the tip of
the sharpener. With the knife at an
angle, usually about 20 degrees,
to the sharpener, swipe it against
the side or sharpener using an arc
motion, as shown in the gure.
Repeat the procedure on the other
side so that both sides of the blade
are sharpened.
Continue until the knife is as sharp
as you want it to be, probably about
10 times on each side. Be careful
when you check the sharpness of
the knife!
Cleaning
After the sharpener has been used
for some time, it is normal for black
marks to appear on the surface.
These are caused by contact with
the metal of the knife, and simply
mean that the sharpener is doing
its job. If necessary you can wash
and dry the sharpener by hand,
but this will not get rid of the black
marks.

El alador de cuchillos FLAKSA está
hecho de porcelana y funciona
bien con cuchillos de acero de
cualquier calidad. Para obtener
mejores resultados, usa siempre un
alador de un material más duro
que el cuchillo que deseas alar.
Los aladores de porcelana no se
desgastan nunca, pero el propio
material es quebradizo. Por esa
razón, es importante manipular el
alador con cuidado. Si se cae al
suelo, puede romperse.
Cómo utilizar el alador
Sujeta el alador con rmeza.
Coloca la defensa del cuchillo
(la parte más cercana al mango)
contra la punta del alador. Con el
cuchillo en ángulo, deslízalo contra
el lateral del alador empleando un
movimiento arqueado, tal y como
se ve en la imagen.
Repite este paso por el otro lado
para que la hoja quede alada por
ambos lados.
Puedes repetir este procedimiento
tantas veces como quieras, hasta
que la hoja esté bien alada. Ten
cuidado al comprobar el lo del
cuchillo.
Limpieza
Después de cierto tiempo de
uso, el alador se puede rayar
con rayas negras. Estas rayas
surgen al contacto con el metal
de los cuchillos. Es algo natural y
demuestra que el alado p1-ha dado
resultado. Si hace falta, el alador
se puede lavar a mano, secándolo
luego con un paño. En ningún caso
se deb4en quitar las rayas negras.

O fuzil FLAKSA é fabricado em
cerâmica e funciona bem com facas
de aço de qualquer qualidade. Para
obter melhores resultados, use
sempre um fuzil fabricado num
material mais duro que a faca que
deseja aar. Um fuzil cerâmico não
se desgasta, mas o seu material
é frágil. Por isso, é importante
manipular o fuzil com cuidado. Se
cair, pode partir-se.
Como usar o aador
Segure bem o aador com uma
mão.
Coloque o ricasso da lâmina (a
parte mais perto do cabo) junto à
ponta do aador. Com a faca em
ângulo, normalmente a cerca de
20º em relação ao aador, deslize
contra a lateral do aador num
movimento em arco, conforme
mostrado na gura.
Repita o procedimento no outro
lado, para que ambos os lados da
lâmina quem aados.
Continue até que a faca que aada
conforme desejar, cerca de 10 vezes
de cada lado. Cuidado ao vericar
se a faca está aada!
Limpeza
Ao m de algum tempo de
utilização, é normal que o aador
apresente algumas manchas pretas.
Isto deve-se ao contacto com o
metal da faca e signica apenas que
o aador tem sido usado. Se for
necessário pode lavar o aador à
mão e secá-lo, se bem que isto não
vai fazer desaparecer as manchas
pretas.
